Google is not paying in Brazil and generates room for other ad networks.

As it was confirmed by several webmasters and media (including Dirson ) ([1], [2], [3], [4]), Google has interrupted sending December checks to webmasters associated to the advertising program AdSense due to problems with Brazil authorities.

Keeping in mind what happened with Orkut doesn’t prepare the field; it will take a while until the situation is regularized.Meanwhile it is a good moment for other ad network (eg: Directa) to have the chance of testing the eCPM that they generate and compare it to Google’s.
As we said it before a higher or lower eCPM is related to several factors:

  • Advertising relevance (if it is related to the content or add value to the user)
  • the type of inventory (where is it? Is it the only one of the page? Does it visually compete with the content? Does it add value to the content?)
  • the format (banner , sky, monster, featured, etc)
  • creative (banner content, offer,  value proposal, etc)
  • user country of origin (according to the market price of each audience)
  • optimization technology. Contextual (eg: Google), Predictiva (eg.:Clarin), Behavior (eg.: Directa)

The best thing for inventory owners is to try most of possible alternative and optimize the participation of each network to find the balance in the point that generates the highest eCPM.

Lo mejor para el los dueños de los inventarios es probar la mayor cantidad de alternativas y optimizar la participación de cada red para encontrar el equilibrio en el punto que genere el mayor eCPM.
